The Australian Trademarks Office ruled in favour of Tiffany Koury stating that there could be no “danger of deception” between the two brands.Tiffany opened a new store at Chadstone in Melbourne in December – its fifth in Australia.The company have reported $153 million in net earnings for the quarter ended 31 January, 2010, compared to $34 million for the previous year.
In comparison to the 51 per cent jump in Asia-Pacific net sales, the Americas reported a 14 per cent increase and Europe 29 per cent for the fourth quarter.This led the company to alert customs officers.The results are in line with Tiffany & Co president James E Quinn‘s comments last month that Australia was a key growth area for the company.
